Delete my account

App: Municipio MX (com.municipiomx.app)

You can delete your account from here, without having the app installed. Enter the email address you signed up with and we will send you a link to confirm the request.

This action is permanent. Once confirmed, you won't be able to recover your account or history, and you'll need to sign up again to use the app.

It must be the email you used to sign up in the app.

It helps us improve the service. It doesn't change the outcome of your request.

We'll send you an email to confirm the request is yours. Nothing is deleted until you open that link.

From the app

If you still have the app installed, deletion is immediate and does not require email confirmation:

  1. Open Municipio MX and log in.
  2. Go to Profile from the bottom bar.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account (labeled "Eliminar mi cuenta" in the app).
  4. Confirm the deletion.

If you no longer have access to your email

The form requires you to open the confirmation email. If you no longer have access to that email account, write to soporte@municipio-mx.com stating your municipality and the details you registered with. We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 calendar days.

What data is deleted

All of your personal data is permanently deleted:

  • First and last names
  • Email address and password
  • Phone and WhatsApp numbers
  • CURP and date of birth
  • Address
  • Profile photo
  • Documents you uploaded in your procedure requests (official ID, proof of address, certificates) and the data you entered in those forms
  • Your device tokens, so you stop receiving notifications

Your account is deactivated and you can no longer log in with it.

What data is kept and why

The citizen reports and procedure requests you submitted are kept anonymously, no longer linked to your identity. They are administrative records of the municipality: they are used to follow up on reports, for public service statistics and to comply with the record-keeping obligations that apply to local governments.

Those records also retain the photographic evidence of your reports: it documents the condition of public spaces (a pothole, a leak, a burnt-out streetlight) and serves as proof of the report, so it is part of the record and not of your profile.

The same applies to system audit logs, which are kept without personal data for security reasons.

Municipal staff accounts

If yours is a work account (official, operator or municipal administrator), it is removed by your local government's administrator from the management dashboard. These are institutional accounts assigned by the agency, not personal app accounts. Request it directly from your municipality's IT department.
